What: Dinner, door prizes, and a silent auction! Your ticket includes appetizers and a three-course meal (soup/salad, entree, and dessert) at the famed Henry and Marty restaurant in Brunswick. Cash bar available.
SILENT AUCTION items include a fantastic package from the Maine Maritime Museum (4 tickets to a Lighthouse Lovers Cruise, family membership for one year, and 2 tickets for a sail aboard the historic Schooner Mary E), the personal chef services of Henry and Marty owner Aaron Park for an at-home dining experience, 2 stunning INVICTA watches, signed books, artwork, and more to come!
Why: This year the Bath-Tsugaru Student Exchange Program is proud to celebrate its thirtieth year. Bath's relationship with the city of Tsugaru stems from the 1889 shipwreck of the Bath-built Cheseborough off the coast of Northern Japan. Friendship blossomed between the villagers who were able to rescue some of her crew, and Bath and Tsugaru later became sister cities.
For the past thirty years, our organization has been exchanging students with Tsugaru. As a nonprofit 501c(3) organization, we rely on the generous support of the community to fund this important program which has served to broaden the perspectives of our young people and introduce them to a culture that is very different from our own.
The profits from this fundraiser will go toward student scholarships and a special project in-the-making!
